Lake Geneva’s Annual Winterfest weekend featuring the U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition has music, magic, refreshments, activities, helicopter rides, shopping and dining. The U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition Champion’s Award, second, third place and the Peoples’ Choice award are featured at this great event at the beautiful and famed Riviera on the lake front in downtown Lake Geneva.

Quality dealers and collectors have created this show’s success year after year. Each year there is more merchandise suitable for the novice collector to investment grade pieces for the advanced collector. We welcome the general public to bring in their items to them have appraised or to sell. An amazing number of antique items will be bought and sold at this event, including decoys, fishing and hunting items, traps, Indian artifacts, wildlife mounts, early advertising, sports memorabilia, military items, wildlife art, sports equipment, outdoor books, literature, knives, and more!

2017 Great Lakes Pet Expo

Pet lovers’ extravaganza featuring animals of all breeds and species, shows, shopping, and games for kids. An entire day of fun for the entire family! Cabin fever? Sick of winter? Then bring your family and friends; join the fun, and shake off the winter blues at the Mount Horeb Area Scandihoovian Winter Festival in and around Mount Horeb. Stroll, shop, eat, and play at one of Dane County’s most unique and charming villages. There will be a whole weekend full of indoor and outdoor events tailored for just about everyone’s tastes. Most events are free, while some have a modest charge. You won’t want to miss Friday night’s big events which include a community mixer and social at the Norsk Golf Bowl with music by the Pool Boys, bonfire, and nighttime XC skiing and snowshoeing. Saturday’s events include a vintage snowmobile show and ride, an old-fashioned spelling bee at the District #1 School House, sledding, ice skating, cross-country skiing demonstrations, a Candlelight Ski and Snowshoe at Blue Mounds State Park and readings by two area authors. The Festival concludes on Super Bowl Sunday with the Rotary Club’s Annual Pancake Brunch and Optimist Club Silent Auction and Kick Sledding at Liberty Park.

Join us in the heart of Historic Downtown Greendale for a day filled with winter fun! Participate (or just taste) in our annual Chili Cook-Off contest, watch our talented ice carvers turn a block of ice into a beautiful work of art, write a Valentine for the Armed Forces, and ice skate with Roscoe the Admirals mascot! We will even be bringing back the Master and Missy coloring contest for Greendale third graders – one boy and one girl will have the chance to win a ride in our Village Days parade and get FREE Ferch’s custard for a year. Broad Street shops will be having specials and activities throughout the day.

Wisconsin Public Television’s Garden Expo is a midwinter oasis for people ready to venture out and dig their hands in the dirt. Now in its 24th year, this three-day event celebrates the latest trends in gardening, landscaping and edibles, and attracts more than 20,000 people from across the Midwest. Join other gardening enthusiasts to share ideas, gain inspiration and create something new. All proceeds support Wisconsin Public Television. Things to do at the Garden Expo: Learn something new at one of more than 150 free educational seminars and demonstrations. Visit with hundreds of businesses, independent contractors, nonprofits and artists to share ideas and learn about the newest in gardening, landscaping and local foods. Discuss innovative gardening techniques with experts from UW-Extension–Horticulture. Relax with a casual walk through the central garden—courtesy of Wisconsin Nursery & Landscape Association, Madison Chapter Inc. Purchase seeds, tools and everything else you need to be ready when the trees bud and the ground thaws.
